Ministry Partners

An overview of our focus on reaching out through our support.

Ecumenical Ministries is a non-denominational, comprehensive social service agency providing aid to low-income families and individuals in Baldwin County, Alabama for more than 50 years. We address the urgent financial and material needs of our clients and provide a hopeful path to self-sufficiency and long-term economic stability.

JSUMC has a history of strong support for many of EMI's programs. JSUMC have volunteers who drive a Meals on Wheels route; participate in the annual fundraisers; sponsor children for Christmas Sharing; and collect & deliver food to the Pantry. In addition to participating in all these programs, many members/friends from JSUMC make direct financial contributions to help insure that promising future.

Founded in 2008 by Dr. Lorena Hunt, a long time member of Jubilee Shores UMC, the mission of Under His Wings is to provide a loving Christian home for at-risk teenage girls, connect them to who they are in the eyes of God and equip them with life skills essential to wholeness.

Jubilee Shores UMC is proud to be just one of the many churches and organizations that provide support to Under His Wings, including donations from special events and collections, as well as volunteers that tutor and nurture these young girls

Formally known as The United Methodist Children's Home, Embrace Kids makes a real difference in the lives of children. It has helped transform the lives of thousands of hurting children since 1890. Many of our alumni are now successful adults who are giving back to the communities which gave to them. The need continues as there are thousands of other children across Alabama and Florida who require our help. Supporting Embrace Kids, YOU can make a life changing difference.

Visit their website for more information and other ways to help. https://umch.net/

Prodisee Pantry's mission is simply based on the Scripture, “I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” (Matthew 25:35). Families facing tough financial times are provided with food and information on additional support provided by our community partners. As a faith-based organization, the goal for Prodisee Pantry and the desire of its volunteer staff is to ease the hunger pains of Baldwin County residents in need.

Each year, JSUMC participates in one of the major fundraisers for the Pantry, The Turkey Trot. This is a race & walk that raises money to pay for the turkeys provided over the holiday season.

The Little Tree Project is a nonprofit helping victims of human trafficking right here in Baldwin county. They have a unique model that is survivor-driven and solution-based. This means that by focusing on the individual needs of each survivor of exploitation, we can create a lasting change while assisting them in their journey to healing.

JSUMC was blessed to have the founder of The Little Tree Project, Allana, come and  speak to our church family. We have been able to partner in many ways with The Little Tree Project from helping with donations and items for specific individual needs to participating in fundraising events.

Baldwin Family Village is Baldwin County’s first transitional housing program operated by the Dumas Wesley Community Center. The Baldwin Family Village provides 12 months of housing stability and wrap-around services for up to 100 single women and women with children annually. BFV seeks to break the cycle of homelessness and help women and children re-establish and maintain self-sufficiency by focusing on accountability, case management, life skills, and behavior modification. To-date, the BFV has served 136 individuals and has successfully graduated 88 of these women and children into independent housing.

JSUMC has been partnering with Baldwin Family Village since it was an idea and has been overjoyed to see it come to fruition! Our church family has given generously through finances to help with ministry needs, making homemade soup and meals, and getting gift cards for families at Christmas.
